Role Overview

Odin AI is seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax Planning Specialist to manage end-to-end bookkeeping, accounting, and tax compliance for our US entity. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in US tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance processes, along with proven experience handling global setups. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure financial accuracy, optimize tax planning, and support strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for the US entity.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll entries.

  • Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books in line with US GAAP.

  • Develop internal controls, financial documentation, and audit readiness.

Tax Planning & Compliance

  • Oversee US federal, state, and local tax filings and compliance.

  • Design and implement tax planning strategies to optimize liabilities while staying compliant.

  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Stay updated on changes in IRS regulations, tax codes, and accounting policies.

Financial Reporting & Strategy

  • Prepare management reports, financial statements, and compliance documents.

  • Partner with leadership on financial forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Provide insights on tax-efficient structures for global operations.

We’re Looking for

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and US tax compliance.

  • Proven experience managing accounting & tax processes for US entities in a global setup.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax laws.

  • Experience in working with accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or equivalent).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory). Environment.
